Each year the BACE Conference takes place in the first part of the new year. BACE (Baptist Association of Christian Educators) is an organization to which I have belonged for many years, and I have good friends who are in education leadership positions around the country who also give their time and attention to this special group. You can check out their website by clicking here. BACE exists to help encourage Christian educators, connects them to other professionals, and enlarges personal networks. You might even want to consider joining and attending this year’s event in Memphis, Tennessee, at the campus of Mid-America Baptist Seminary. I’ll be in attendance, along with hundreds of other Christian educators who are trying to get a handle on the changing world around us, and the ways education ministries at the local church level can help produce disciples. My friend John McClendon is not only the president of BACE, but also a great Minister of Education at Northside Baptist Church in Murfreeesboro, TN.
