Tuesday Teaching Tip: Create a Post-It Map

Today’s teaching tip is about identifying key locations on a map. Using a giant wall-sized Post-It Note or two (or your white marker board), draw a map of a country (or a region) related to your Bible study, but do not label any cities. Just draw a simple map and leave it at that.

Next, ask for volunteers to take one of several smaller Post-It Notes you’ve created by writing the name of a key place on each one. Ask your volunteers to stand and walk up to your map, placing their city on the map where it belongs. Once all names of cities are on your map, correct any that are not quite in the right place. Use the map as you continue to teach your Bible study.

This is a fun, inexpensive way to create a map and to get your group members involved.
