Every teacher asks questions of his or her group members. But these aren’t the kinds of questions that great teachers ask. There’s a different set of questions that make all the difference. If you are a group leader, learn to ask yourself these 3 evaluative questions every week:

1. What went right today? Why were your group members engaged? Was it the way you arranged the classroom? Was it an activity you incorporated? A visual aid you used? What rang their bell?
2. What could have gone better? What didn’t your group members like? Did an illustration bomb? Did you teach too long? Did you have all the supplies you needed? Were there any glitches with technology you used?
3. What will I do differently next week? Doing the same thing and expecting different results is the definition of insanity. You owe it to yourself and to your group members to make adjustments weekly. 

Experience is good. But experience doesn’t make you a better teacher, necessarily. Evaluated experience does, though! If you want to be a world-class teacher, learn to ask yourself the 3 questions above – every time you teach. Evaluate your Bible study experience. You’ll be glad you did.
